Savor the Flavor of Paris this Valentine’s Day at Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain

Known as the City of Love, Paris is widely considered one of the most romantic places in the world. The neighborhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés on the city’s Left Bank effortlessly caters to loved-up couples seeking a romantic getaway, with cobbled streets and winding alleyways perfect for strolling around hand-in-hand and admiring the traditional Parisian architecture, plus some of the finest cafés, bars and restaurants where lovers can enjoy some of the city’s finest culinary experiences.

Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain, the area’s latest boutique hotel opening, is embracing romance with a new gastronomic getaway for Valentine’s Day, Passion Parisienne. Arrive to in-room gifts including a bottle of French wine and macarons prepared by the hotel’s pastry chef, before embarking on a two-day flavour exploration. The itinerary includes a hands-on bakery workshop at La Cuisine Paris, a locally run cookery school offering sweet and savory classes for guests to craft their own croissants, baguettes or sweet pastries with views across the Seine to Notre Dame. Spend time leisurely sampling delicacies at one of the city’s many marchés and dining at Saint-Germain’s iconic restaurants such as Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore.

Back at the hotel, enjoy an aperitif at the cozy James Joyce Bar, where a short menu features expertly crafted cocktails inspired by international flavors, before settling down for a candle-lit dinner at Les Parisiens. The intimate restaurant is overseen by celebrated chef, Thibault Sombardier, who’s dishes offer a contemporary take on classic French flavors.

The Passion Parisienne package costs from £1,176 (two sharing), including two nights’ accommodation, in-room gifts, cookery class, cocktails, dinner at Les Parisiens and daily breakfast. Available throughout February. Visit en.pavillon-faubourg-saint-germain.com.
