Sea Containers London, the lifestyle hotel located on London's vibrant South Bank, has unveiled four new luxury Cabin Suites. The suites are an extension of the overarching narrative of the hotel with design reminiscent of a 1920s transatlantic cruise liner and the glamour these journeys represented. The Edwardian Cabin Suite, Art Deco Cabin Suite, Mid-Century Cabin Suite and Dynasty Cabin Suite are available to book now for stays from 1st May 2025.
Each suite has been brought to life with period-appropriate vintage and antique furnishings sourced by Jacu Strauss, Designer and Creative Director of Lore Group, in partnership with pre-loved market place, Vinterior. The sourcing of vintage pieces adds depth and character to each suite, and is reflective of the hotel group’s ongoing efforts to close the loop on hospitality furniture by reusing items already in circulation.
“There was a specific vision and feeling we wanted to emulate in each cabin suite based on the time periods. We are not offering a ‘home away from home’ but an endearing, emotive, and nostalgic experience that transports guests to a glamorous transatlantic cruise. Through this redesign, we have been mindful about creating suites that are fun and immersive but also open to interpretation and fundamentally focused on comfort and the guest experience”, said Strauss.
All four Cabin Suites will feature a selection of books inspired by its era and curated by Phaidon. The hotel’s multi-award-winning bar Lyaness has created bottled cocktails inspired by the four eras, exclusively available to guests staying in the suites.
