Sensational Summer Activities at The St. Regis Deer Valley, Utah

One of the most luxurious mountain resorts in the world, The St. Regis Deer Valley is a true year-round destination with as many exhilarating activities in the summer as it offers in the winter.  The bluebird skies typical of Park City provide the backdrop for daily Resort activities, be it to celebrate a romantic respite or an action-packed family vacation at a fraction of on-season rates, with several packages available.  Summer 2022 at The St. Regis Deer Valley features:

Dynamic Daily Activities All Summer Long:  The St. Regis Deer Valley offers Daily Guided Hikes directly from trailheads located on the Resort’s property.  The hikes are of varying lengths and abilities.  On weekends, Morning and Evening Guided Hikes are offered.  Historical Hikes are also available throughout the summer.  The Resort’s trailheads tie into 400 miles of Park City trails, ideal for running and mountain biking.  Yoga classes are offered daily in the state-of-the-art Athletic Club, open 24 hours a day.  Summer activities can be accessed here.

Daily Lawn Games on the Resort's lush Grand Lawn include croquet, archery, volleyball, badminton, ladder toss, Cornhole, spike ball, KanJam, Kubb, Giant Chess, Giant Jenga and, on weekends, axe throwing taught by professionals.  Root Beer Float Pop-ups allow guests to make their own frothy concoction, and Festive Food Trucks on the weekends offer a wide variety of fare.  Bloody Mary 101 Classes teach guests to make the 7452 Bloody Mary, named for the altitude of the Resort.  Live music is featured every Saturday and Sunday on the Astor Terrace.

This Summer, The St. Regis Deer Valley has partnered with Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter to provide fun and educational wildlife experiences to Resort guests.  Swaner Preserve offers walks, talks and workshops that delve into plant and animal species, wetland science and ecosystem functions.  Swaner's EcoCenter features rotating exhibits and a rock-climbing wall.

The Resort’s Concierge and signature Butler Service can arrange Blue Ribbon trout fishing, tee-times at eight championship golf courses, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking on the Jordanelle Reservoir, and the chance to experience a world-class bobsled run (yes, even in the summer!) at Utah Olympic Park.

Poolside Fun with Pop-up Kitchen and "Dive-in" Movies: Refresh with a swim in the two-tier infinity pool, basking in the views of the Wasatch Range. Thursday night Dive-In Movies feature a classic or current theatrical while guests lounge on inflatable rafts.  A new pop-up poolside kitchen adds to the experience with a menu that includes Sesame Ginger Tuna Tartar Cones, Huli Huli Grilled Chicken Sandwiches and of course, hotdogs, hamburgers and milkshakes.  Refreshing libations include Strawberry-Mint Moscow Mules and Ginger Margaritas and non-alcoholic frozen Pina Coladas and Mojitos.  Relax in one of the two hot tubs after a day of hiking or exploring Park City’s bustling Main Street, teeming with galleries, shops and boutiques.

Music in the Mountains: Two magical summer concert series are held immediately adjacent to the Resort, easily reached via the funicular.  The Deer Valley Music Festival and Grand Valley Bank Community Concert Series feature performances including Utah Symphony’s Patriotic Pops with Lakisha Jones and Dr. Bob with The Pour.  Enjoy pre-concert fare and libations from the Astor Bar and southern-style barbecue from Wild Ember, both located at The St. Regis Deer Valley’s Snow Park Residences building.  Enjoy your repast while listening to music from the concert on Astor Bar's Terrace.  A customized concert picnic basket can always be ordered from the Concierge.

Daily Resort Rituals: The nightly S’mores Tradition invites guests to design their own decadent treats around the Astor Terrace fire pit, using confections from the Resort's Pastry Chefs.  The nightly Champagne Sabering Tradition, held every evening at dusk, gives guests the opportunity to learn the history of and witness the dramatic opening of a bottle of champagne with a real saber while enjoying a complimentary taste of the libation—a perfect start to an evening. Show off your new skill at home!
