Sheen Falls Lodge Hosts 'Gormleys: Art at the Falls' Exhibition with Renowned Irish Gallery

An exhibition featuring works by iconic names in the Irish and international art world is set to transform a five-star hotel in Kerry. This autumn, renowned Irish gallery Gormleys will bring a world-class art experience to the luxurious Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare.

From September 14 to October 12, the lodge’s 300-acre estate of stunning natural surroundings will be the backdrop for a curated selection of sculptures and artworks. Works by Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali and Patrick Rubinstein will rub shoulders with a striking collection of life-size outdoor sculptures positioned around the lodge's immaculate grounds between the Sheen River and the dramatic mountains of Kenmare Bay.

“This is the first time Gormleys will host an exhibition in Kerry, following the success of Ireland’s biggest art and sculpture events, held at Castlemartyr Resort in Cork and Culloden Estate in Belfast,” said Oliver Gormley of Gormleys. One of Ireland’s most acclaimed artists—and proud Kerry native—Liam O’Neill will debut a brand-new collection of sculptures, adding a special local dimension to the exhibition. Inside the hotel, guests can admire iconic pieces by global icons, including Warhol, Dali and Rubinstein, alongside an array of celebrated Irish artists.

An Art Appreciation Dinner with live entertainment will be held on Tuesday, September 16 at 5pm in The Falls Restaurant. The evening will begin with a drinks reception, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition and a conversation with featured artists Liam O’Neill, John Redmond, Jenny Belton and Patrick O’Reilly. Guests will then be seated for a refined three-course dinner with paired wines, designed by Sheen Falls Lodge Executive Chef Mark Treacy. The three-course menu will reflect Chef Treacy’s seasonal and sustainable approach to fine dining, highlighting exceptional Irish produce with classical finesse and contemporary creativity. Tickets are $140 USD per person and reservations for the Art Appreciation Dinner can be made by calling Sheen Falls Lodge directly on 064 664 1600.

“Already a destination where luxury meets nature, heritage and history, Sheen Falls Lodge will now add fine art to its offerings, creating an unforgettable cultural experience for guests and visitors,” said Brian Loughnane, General Manager of Sheen Falls Lodge.

Set on a private 300-acre estate along Kenmare Bay, the hotel provides direct access to the Ring of Kerry, the Beara Peninsula and the Wild Atlantic Way, inviting guests to explore Ireland’s most scenic landscapes. As a proud member of Relais & Châteaux, Sheen Falls Lodge was recently awarded Two Michelin Keys at the inaugural Michelin Guide ceremony, recognizing excellence in service, hospitality and hotel design.

The free exhibition will officially open on Sunday, September 14 at 4pm and will be open daily to the public from 11am to 7pm, but will be closed on certain days to accommodate private events.
