Dating back to medieval times, a Royal Warrant is a formally appointed grant to tradespeople recognized by the Monarchy. Today, the West End and Mayfair’s renowned boutiques, hotels and restaurants are home to some of the longest-held Royal Warrants in the country, with one of the longest warrants of 210 years belonging to Savile Row men’s tailor Gieves & Hawkes – a gentle stroll away from Brown’s Hotel. Mayfair’s prime location close to St. James Palace, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace, it is no wonder the area has had and continues to have an enduring history and connection to the royal family.
Opening its doors in 1837 as London’s first hotel, Brown’s has welcomed its fair share of royals from both Queen Victoria and Elizabeth II taking afternoon tea to the late Duke of Edinburgh and HRH Prince Charles attending notable dinners. It seems only fitting for Brown’s to introduce an experience that honors its royals and allows guests to delve deep into history’s past and present.
