Silversea’s Silver Whisper departed Singapore on a 70-day, 37-destination Grand Voyage through Asia on February 15th, offering travelers a uniquely immersive journey that will connect them with the region’s most quintessential experiences. Silversea’s guests will discover the authentic cultures of eight countries during the voyage, including Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and Singapore. Three exclusive events, reserved solely for Silver Whisper’s guests – including a magical Bon Voyage reception at Singapore’s Andaz Glasshouse on February 14th – and various onboard enrichments will enhance the voyage, showcasing the finest local cuisine, regional entertainment, and storied traditions of some of the planet’s most fascinating destinations.

“Farewell to our guests traveling aboard Silver Whisper for the Grand Voyage Asia 2025 – the most immersive journey through the continent to depart this year,” said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea. “Having spent many years living in Asia, I can attest to the richness of the region’s culture, the charm of its people, the beauty of its nature, and the wealth of opportunities for enrichment that await travelers there. Each of our voyages is driven by unique experiences, but this is especially true of our extended sailings. Our destination experts have designed an incredible itinerary for the Grand Voyage Asia 2025 that will showcase the very best that the continent has to offer — such as a circumnavigation of Japan during cherry blossom season — delivered to our guests over 70 days, as they journey in Silversea’s trademark level of comfort.”

For the first time on a Silversea Grand Voyage through Asia, guests will be able to discover the region’s authentic culinary cultures during experiences ashore through Silversea’s Sea and Land Taste (S.A.L.T.) culinary program. Special culinary experiences will include a deep dive into Thailand’s healthy diet and lifestyle with a Michelin-starred chef in Bangkok; an exploration of the local culinary traditions in Aomori, Japan; and, in Hakodate (Hokkaido), the chance to learn about the art of Japanese kaiseki dining, with a Michelin-starred chef.

Among other remarkable experiences, guests will discover the cultural heritage of Kuala Lumpur, test their Thai cooking skills at Koh Samui’s Nora Beach Resort, gain insight into the history of Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City, cruise Ha Long Bay on a traditional junk boat, ride on the wheelless Maglev train in futuristic Shanghai, bathe in the hot springs of Kagoshima, admire Tokyo by Night with a teppanyaki dinner, and much more. Guests will circumnavigate Japan, calling in such captivating cities as Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kanazawa, Hakodate (Hokkaido), Kobe, and others.

Moreover, three exclusive events — reserved solely for Grand Voyage guests — will delight travelers during the sailing:

  • BON VOYAGE RECEPTION – Singapore – February 14th

The Grand Voyage Asia 2025 kicked off triumphantly at a private Bon Voyage Reception in Singapore on February 14th. The stunning Andaz Glasshouse, located a short drive from the Mandarin Oriental in the Kampong Glam neighborhood, hosted the exclusive event, with guests toasting to the upcoming journey and mingling with fellow travelers. With its spectacular views of Singapore's Muslim Quarter, this distinctive venue offered an ideal setting for friends, both old and new, to connect excitedly ahead of the sailing’s departure.

  • THE HISTORY & HERITAGE OF BANGKOK, AN EXCLUSIVE OVERNIGHT – Bangkok – February 24th-25th

Guests will enjoy an overnight in the bustling city of Bangkok on February 24th, checking in to the Mandarin Oriental — one of Bangkok's most luxurious hotels, ideally located along the picturesque banks of the Chao Phraya River. As evening draws near, guests will embark the Royal Naval Boat Angsana to witness the city's vibrant transformation at sunset. The evening cruise will conclude at Sala Rim Naam, where guests will dine on a multi-course feast of Thai delicacies, celebrating the rich tapestry of local history and culture. The following morning, guests will enjoy an al fresco breakfast by the river before visiting the Royal Barge Museum. After a contemporary Thai lunch, Silversea’s guests can choose between visiting the Sanctuary of Truth or exploring the hidden treasures of Bangkok’s Talad Noi Creative Quarter, subsequently rejoining Silver Whisper for the next leg of their adventure.

  • SECRETS OF JAPAN’S CULTURAL CENTER - Kyoto, Japan – March 25th

Celebrated as Japan's Cultural Capital, Kyoto is a feast for the senses. Silversea’s guests will travel by Shinkansen, the renowned Japanese Bullet Train, for a swift journey from Osaka to Kyoto.
