Sip in Style at Grand Hotel Minerva: Florence Cocktail Week Returns this April

This April, travelers heading to Florence can immerse themselves in the city’s rich cocktail culture with the return of Florence Cocktail Week, running from April 7 to 13.

As the birthplace of iconic drinks like the Negroni, Florence offers the ideal setting to celebrate mixology traditions. Guests can sip expertly crafted cocktails while taking in breathtaking views of the Duomo from Grand Hotel Minerva’s rooftop bar, La Terrazza, and panoramic pool—offering travelers a true journey through Florence’s artistic and architectural heritage.

Located in the heart of the city, the hotel offers an experience reminiscent of Florence’s noble families, including the Medici. Within the Santa Maria Novella quartieri, the hotel embraces the legacy of the monks who pioneered the renowned scents and flavors of Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella—one of the world’s oldest pharmacies.

During Florence Cocktail Week, guests can go beyond the classic Negroni and indulge in the Grand Hotel Minerva’s Colpo all’Anima. Specially crafted for the event, the drink blends the classic Bitter Fusetti Mare with kombucha and lemon juice. Additionally, the signature Rosa Mama cocktail blends local history with every sip. Crafted by bartender Dariosh Kohnehkar, it features Elisir di Rose, a liqueur first made by Santa Maria Novella monks over 600 years ago.
