This spring, Six Senses Kyoto invites guests to experience cherry blossom season through a thoughtfully curated sakura program, available until April 19, 2026. Centered around the hotel’s courtyard, where weeping cherry trees come into bloom, the month-long offering blends seasonal dining, wellness-driven cuisine, and immersive design rooted in nature.
At the heart of the experience is a limited-edition Sakura Afternoon Tea served at Sekki, inspired by Japan’s traditional solar calendar. The menu interprets spring through both flavor and form, featuring items such as sakura mochi, cherry blossom chirashi sushi, and rice flour scones with white miso and matcha. Each element reflects Six Senses’ “Eat With Six Senses” philosophy, emphasizing natural ingredients, fermentation, and dishes designed to be both nourishing and seasonal.
For more casual moments, Café Sekki introduces a selection of sakura-inspired sweets and takeaway items ideal for enjoying throughout Kyoto during peak bloom. Highlights include cherry blossom bagels with red bean and mochi, sakura-shaped pastries, and strawberry-infused desserts, crafted in-house and designed for spring picnics along the nearby Kamo River.
The seasonal programming extends into beverages, with sakura lattes, cold brews, and wellness smoothies available throughout the day, alongside a limited cocktail menu at Nine Tails. The bar reimagines classic drinks with a Japanese perspective, including a Sakura Manhattan layered with cherry blossom and dark cherry notes, as well as a Sencha Gin & Tonic and Spring Martini, all crafted using domestic spirits.
Designed in harmony with nature, Six Senses Kyoto features more than ten gardens and a central courtyard that anchors the guest experience. During sakura season, terrace seating throughout the property allows guests to take in the blossoms while dining, creating a seamless connection between Kyoto’s natural beauty and the brand’s wellness-led approach to hospitality.
