Montage Kapalua Bay has partnered with two of Maui's most celebrated makers, alongside Maverick Helicopters, to launch the Ultimate Mai Tai and Ultimate Mai Tai Experience – bringing together internationally recognized craftsmanship in a glass and, for true spirits enthusiasts, an aerial adventure straight to the source.
Debuting in tandem with Montage Kapalua Bay's newly reimagined Hideaway, the $500 Ultimate Mai Tai is as much a piece of art as it is a cocktail. Combining the award-winning spirits of Ocean Organic Farm & Distillery, Maui's only farm-to-bottle distillery growing its own sugar cane on-island, with a custom keepsake tiki glass hand-blown by renowned glass artist Ryan Staub of Moana Glass, the cocktail features a refined blend of Brum Solera Rum, Ferrand Dry Curaçao, and Sugar Cane Dane Macadamia Nut Orgeat.
Staub, who has honed his craft across 11 countries over 25 years and is known for his ocean-inspired sculptures and signature LED-lit wave pieces, designed the vessel exclusively for the Ultimate Mai Tai at Montage Kapalua Bay, making it the perfect keepsake to honor Maui’s talented artists.
Spirits enthusiasts looking to fully immerse themselves in the craftsmanship behind the cocktail can opt for the Ultimate Mai Tai Experience, featuring a private helicopter journey with Maverick Helicopters that whisks guests along the Maui coastline and Molokai before touching down at Ocean Organic Farm & Distillery for a private behind-the-scenes tour of the farm and distilling operation, followed by a three-course island-inspired lunch.
