16 Orient-Express Hotels Honored as World's Best
A few of the standout hotels making the top of the list include two North American properties Charleston Place, voted the "number one" hotel in South Carolina, and Windsor Court Hotel voted the "number one" hotel in Louisiana. In South America, Hotel Monasterio topped this list as the "number one" hotel in Peru.

Travel + Leisure's seventh annual "T+L 500 World's Best Hotels" list highlighted in the January 2009 issue includes the 500 highest-rated hotels, resorts, inns, and lodges selected in the magazine's annual "World's Best" survey.
