Pezula Resort Launches Medi-Spa Facility

The award-winning Pezula Spa at Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa in Knysna, South Africa, has launched a medi-spa facility which features a comprehensive menu of specialist treatments for a variety of conditions.

The Pezula Medi-Spa team is headed up by Joan Maré-Reid, a qualified nurse and experienced beauty therapist, and includes two respected members of the medical profession and a medical herbalist.

Dr Francy Lewer-Allen MBBCh (Rand) is an aesthetic medical practitioner with 30 years' experience in neurosurgery, orthopaedic (including hand and scope) surgery, opthalmic, obstetric and cardiovascular surgery; Dr Gerhard van Niekerk (MBChB) Pretoria has 22 years' experience as a general practitioner and is now a full-time aesthetic practitioner; and Dr Lana Martin studied medical herbalism in the UK at the University of Lincoln. Each member of the team brings with them specific expertise and experience.

Maré-Reid offers 20% - 90% AHA Peels, and in most cases combines Microdermabrasion with Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatment for the treatment of acne, pigmentation, broken capillaries and hair removal.

Dr Lewer-Allan has a special interest in aesthetic procedures, such as Botox, dermal filler, schlerotherapy, skin tightening, weight loss and mesotherapy.

Dr van Niekerk is experienced in all aspects of aesthetic medicine and specialises in advanced Botox, dermal filling, micro-needling, sclerotherapy, non-surgical face-lift threading, and skin tightening techniques.

Dr Martin specialises in Eporex mesotherapy.
