Straffan House, Private Estate on Famed Irish Golf Resort Now Available for Exclusive Use
Built and owned by The K Club's founder, Sir Michael Smurfit, the 34,000-sq-ft Straffan House was inspired by the original structure of the same name built in 1832 in the style of a French Chateau that now houses the adjacent K Club Hotel. Located just 40 minutes outside of Dublin, The K Club and Straffan House offer guests a true town and country experience, with traditional outdoor pursuits of fishing on the River Liffey, falconry, skeet shooting and horse riding. In addition, villa guests receive unlimited golf on both Arnold Palmer designed championship courses: The Palmer Course, venue for the 2006 Ryder Cup, hailed among Europe's greatest courses; and The Smurfit Course, host to the European Open for three years. Guests can also indulge at the luxurious 20,000 square foot K Spa hailed among the finest spas in Europe and certainly considered the best in Ireland.

Spread over three stories, Straffan House abounds in sumptuousness and lavish amenities, with high ceilings, fine stucco work and stunning chandeliers featured throughout the property along with original works of art by noted Irish artists Sir. William Orpen and Jack B. Yeats. There are 10 bedrooms in total, all ensuite, an indoor swimming pool replete with ‘swim up bar', spa, gym, games room, cinema, and a glass-enclosed, thermostatically-controlled wine cellar. Straffan House residence comes inclusive of a dedicated service team, concierge and private chef.
