Suite Dreams: London's Dukes Hotel Unveils Newly-Refurbished Suites
All 11 hotel suites have been newly refurbished with a striking mix of classic and contemporary design elements from leading UK interior designer Shaun Clarkson. In addition, thanks to a new partnership with Thomas Goode & Co. Ltd., the historic hotel has begun displaying a rotating exhibit of exclusive items by the prestigious porcelain maker in the Duke of Clarence Suite, also known as the Penthouse Suite.

The hotel recently contracted designer Shaun Clarkson, who is known for his contemporary and creative approach to design in the London hospitality sector, to renovate each of its suites in a soothing palette of warm colors and striking yet comfortable furnishings. Abundant amenities offered in each suite include marble en-suite bathroom, large writing desk, PlayStation and Xbox player (upon request), interactive flat-screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and windows that open wide onto the beautiful city outside.

As part of the hotel's new partnership with Thomas Goode & Co. Ltd., the Duke of Clarence Suite will feature a rotating display of thematic pieces in the 700 square-foot penthouse overlooking Green Park from the 5th floor of DUKES LONDON. Currently, the exhibit features bespoke works from the Thomas Goode Museum spanning the 20th century, including a service sample produced for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The displays will be changed every two months, and in July will begin featuring works created in partnership with contemporary designers. Thomas Goode has worked with the fashion houses of Paul Smith and Vivienne Westwood for several years producing tableware with their signature designs, and is currently working with contemporary artist Tracey Emin to produce a set of limited edition gift pieces coinciding with a new exhibition of her work in London. Guests of the Penthouse Suite will be able to purchase selections from the designer displays with prices ranging from £35 to £500 (approx. $57-$811 U.S.).

Located in the heart of Mayfair, within walking distance from DUKES LONDON, Thomas Goode has been recognized as the world's best creator of fine bone china, crystal and silverware since before Queen Victoria assumed the throne. Occupying the same address on South Audley Street since 1845, the Thomas Goode gallery features a dozen red brick and tile showrooms with the finest collections of china, porcelain and glass tableware.

Rates for suites start at £480 (approx. $779 U.S.). For more information or to reserve a suite at DUKES LONDON, please call U.S. reservations at (800) 381-4702 or visit www.DUKESHOTEL.com.
