Some other initiatives the hotel participates in each year is the Crandon Park beach clean-up, fights children sexual exploitation and human trafficking with trainings for its employees and communication to their guests, it is LEED certified (Gold level), provides eco-friendly linen and terry clothes and encourages guests to reuse them throughout their stay, uses key cards made of recycled plastic, and has removed single-use plastics, to name a few. The Novotel team also built the Novo Garden at Southside Elementary School, where children grow seven varieties of vegetables.
