Arosa, Switzerland, presents a new sporting experience this summer as the town recently unveiled Switzerland’s first floating padel court. With the sport’s continuous growth in popularity, this unique court invites both locals and guests to play until September 28 on the town’s Obersee Lake.
This new addition kicked off with the exciting Padelta Open, where visitors watched current and former athletes compete. Whether a beginner or seasoned player, competing on the water poses a new challenge, blending action with breathtaking mountain and lakeside views.
After a game of padel amidst the fresh mountain air, visitors can retreat back to the Tschuggen Grand Hotel. The luxury resort, a member of the Tschuen Collection, is set at an altitude of over 5,900 feet in the Alpine region and is in close proximity to the court. The rooms and suites, designed by Carlo Rampazzi, exude a contemporary fairy-tale style, making the hotel an exceptional venue for a getaway where nature meets modernity. Guests can unwind at the iconic Tschuggen Bergoase Spa, renowned for its architecturally striking space, carved into the mountain, and holistic spa treatments inspired by their Moving Mountains lifestyle program. The spa features an indoor and outdoor pool, Kneipp trail, rock grotto, 4 sun terraces, and several saunas, spread over four floors.
During a stay, guests can dine at La Collina, transforming into a lively Spanish restaurant for the summer season, offering a fusion of Spanish recipes with Swiss products. Beyond padel, Arosa offers a wealth of outdoor activities, including yoga in the forest, fishing or swimming in the mountain lakes, and hiking or biking in the mountains.
