Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel Launches Room Refurbishment
The upgrade will include the refurbishment of 442 guestrooms located on levels four to 29 and is targeted for completion in September 2011. A key feature of the rooms will be the purpose-built window seating providing panoramic views. Additional enhancements to the rooms will include iHome docks, media hubs and custom-designed furniture to enhance the rooms' comfort and feel.

Throughout 2010, all hotel guestrooms and suites received upgrades to technological equipment including widescreen LCD televisions, Foxtel satellite channels and complimentary broadband and Wi-Fi Internet access. Interior design company Hassell will spearhead the guestroom refurbishment, with senior interior designer Grace Guo taking the lead role. Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney completed renovations on the hotel's 111 Horizon Club suites and guestrooms in 2006. Located on levels 30 to 35, the suites and guestrooms are the largest in their class in the city. Located in the historic Rocks district between the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney offers Altitude Restaurant and Blu Bar on 36, each offering its own panoramic views of the city from level 36.
