The new Terranea Drive Series is available for a limited time and is offered complimentary to guests staying in one of Terranea's luxurious Shearwater Suites.

The series presents guests with a variety of experiential GPS-led driving tours covering themes such as adventure and romance. Itineraries engage travelers to explore more of Terranea's natural coastal setting; ideal for scenic drives, picturesque roadside stops and ocean-side adventures; and provide the opportunity for guests to enjoy and experience the latest fleet of cars by luxury auto brand Lexus - the resort's preferred vehicle.

The Terranea Drive Series experiences and use of a Lexus vehicle are provided complimentary to all guests booking a stay in one of Terranea's two luxurious 1,800 sq. ft. Shearwater Suites. In addition to the expansive ocean-side accommodations, guests have unlimited access to a Lexus vehicle and can enjoy one of three special drive packages including the Retail Retreat; Romantic Rendezvous and Adventure Escape. Each drive package includes a themed road trip itinerary with recommended sites and attractions for guests to experience, snacks and refreshments for the road, along with special themed amenities and gifts to match each itinerary. The Retail Retreat

For guests seeking some retail therapy, the retail retreat offers a GPS guided tour to one of the hottest shopping destinations in Southern California - South Coast Plaza. The excursion provides guests with a vehicle from the Lexus fleet, one with plenty of truck space; complimentary valet parking at South Coast Plaza; entrance to the shopping venue's ACCESS VIP Suite, featuring a dedicated concierge, complimentary refreshments, and package check; along with an exclusive VIP Passport and $100 South Coast Plaza Gift Certificate. Guests also receive a $50 gift card to use at Terranea's retail outlets including marea boutique, The Spa, Pointe Discovery and The Links golf shop.

The Adventure Escape

Adventurous guests are encouraged to explore more of the Palos Verdes Peninsula's natural landscape with a coastal drive in one of the Lexus fleet vehicles and a Pointe Discovery activity. The GPS guided tour highlights scenic points of interest including the Point Vicente Interpretive Center to watch the whale migration and Portuguese Bend for hiking and wildlife spotting. Guests can choose either an aqua or terra activity from Pointe Discovery such as a coastal hike, falconry, tide pooling, paddleboarding, or kayorkling. The Adventurer outing also includes a picnic basket lunch from sea beans, complete with energy bars and water bottle, and a pair of binoculars for watching marine life off the coast as dolphins, sea lions and whales can be spotted along the shore on a regular basis.

The Romantic Rendezvous

For a romantic retreat, guests can cruise along the stunning Southern California coast, enjoy an afternoon picnic at one of the peninsula's breathtaking and picturesque vantage points. The GPS guided tour highlights scenic points of interest including Abalone Cove for a quiet walk, Portuguese Bend for an intimate picnic or Del Cerro Park to watch the sunset. Guests also receive a picnic basket for two from sea beans, a warm and cozy picnic blanket and box of house-made chocolate truffles. After the romantic road trip, guests will find a rose petal turndown when returning to the suite.
