The Beverly Hills Hotel Introduces a New Era of LA Nightlife

Later this year, The Beverly Hills Hotel, a Dorchester Collection hotel, will unveil a new chapter in its enduring story with the introduction of a new social destination designed for stylish dining and entertainment.

This new space, envisaged by renowned American designer Ken Fulk, represents the most significant addition to the hotel since architect Paul Revere Williams designed the Crescent Wing in 1949. His lasting impact includes The Beverly Hills Hotel’s timeless pink and green signature look and iconic signage.

Honouring the beloved ‘Pink Palace’ as the city’s original heartbeat and where Hollywood gathers, the plan for these new additions was first conceived a decade ago. It has since been shaped through years of conversations and consultation with its community of neighbours and friends, ensuring the hotel remains at the centre of the city’s routine.

Located to the left off the lobby, beyond The Beverly Hills Hotel’s famed red-carpet arrival, The Supper Club is the first of the new experiences to be introduced. Others include a new cocktail bar with an outdoor veranda overlooking the L.A. skyline and an indoor-outdoor lobby lounge for locally-sourced fare, coffee and high tea, as well as cocktails and elevated bites in the evening. Furthermore, fitting of a Hollywood icon; a screening room, and private dining room will complete the new spaces.

The concepts have been designed to perfectly complement the hotel’s legendary Polo Lounge, Fountain Coffee Room and Cabana Cafe, which will remain unchanged.

The Supper Club is central to the new space, designed with the storied supper clubs of a bygone era in mind, and with a focus on great food, outstanding entertainment and a space to gather and have fun.

Ken Fulk’s designs are mindful of the glamour and nostalgia of the hotel’s significant place in the mid-century golden age of Hollywood, whilst reflecting the modernity of the city of today.

The ambition of The Supper Club is to become a true gathering place for Los Angeles – a room where artists, musicians, filmmakers, business leaders and other familiar faces naturally cross paths.

This intimate room will seat just 94 guests and offer live entertainment curated by the stylish and deeply connected Alex Le Roux of ALR Music. The culinary experience is led by esteemed chef Mattia Agazzi. Together, they have created a new destination, where each element – from design and music to food and hospitality – works in concert to make every evening feel unexpected and alive.

Chef Mattia Agazzi, previously head chef of Gucci Osteria Beverly Hills, draws from his Italian traditions centred at the heart of his cooking while embracing the bounty of California, resulting in a thoughtful, contemporary dining experience for The Supper Club – combining the best of California produce, coastal seafood, and savoury meats with artisan handmade pasta.

Alex Le Roux has designed the music to be inseparable from the atmosphere of the room. Spanning generations and genres, the programme will draw on the music of artists ranging from Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin to Sabrina Carpenter and Drake.

Ken Fulk’s vibrant designs offer plush banquettes oriented toward the stage, allowing guests both an excellent experience of the performers as well as a social dining experience. Amongst the room’s striking details is a custom ceiling mural by artist Caroline Lizarraga, depicting the constellation-filled night sky as it appeared above Beverly Hills on the evening the hotel opened on May 12, 1912 – connecting the room directly to the property’s origins over a century ago. That constellation has inspired an array of special touches that can be seen throughout the club’s unique design.

“The Beverly Hills Hotel has long been the place where people come together, memories are formed and stories told,” says General Manager John Scanlon. “Our guests and friends have told us they want even more ways to enjoy the singular atmosphere of our hotel, and we’ve listened. We’re delighted to be introducing a new collection of culinary and cocktail destinations that will add an extra dimension to the social life of this special place while celebrating its enduring glamour. These new additions will sit alongside our beloved dining venues and set the stage for many more memorable occasions at The Beverly Hills Hotel for years and generations to come.”
