The Brando Reopens with Enhanced Holistic Approach to Wellness

The Brando, a luxury retreat located on French Polynesia’s far-flung private island of Tetiaroa reopened on June 1st with new holistic treatments added to the offerings at its coveted Varua Te Ora Spa. In the wake of a challenging year with stressful periods and rising levels of anxiety, the enhanced spa programming was designed to tap into the power of one’s physical and spiritual senses for a much-needed mind, body, and soul realignment.

Spa services meld the traditional with the holistic with a variety of treatments from detox massages and coconut body scrubs to Polynesian pharmacopoeia footbaths and sound therapy, which utilizes the therapeutic sound vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls, which is another ancient form of regeneration for bringing balance and harmony to the body and mind. The Vivo, which is a Polynesian flute, ukulele, are some of the other sound healing instruments that have recently been welcomed into The Brando’s spa experience.

The enhanced spa menu also includes a selection of “Journeys” that solicit all the senses and can be tailored to the individuals needs and profound nature, which Polynesians believe to be comparable to those of a tree. Harnessing the sacred power of nature's elements to redirect the healing process to the root, each of the four dedicated Journeys were developed to address the four essential needs: to ground, to grow stronger, to uplift, and to balance. Backed by the magic of Tahiti and Her Islands, these wellness Journeys are intended to provide a client-specific blend of treatments including but not limited to, purifying footbaths an herbal- infused tea tastings using native plants to Tetiaroa such as Purau flower, Tamanu leaf and Metua pua, immunity boosting massages, and Polynesian yoga approach for movement and meditation practice. Rates for each 100-minute Journey begin at $430 USD.
