The Caribbean’s Most Exciting Private Island Beach Club

The Caribbean’s Most Exciting Private Island Beach Club

From the Isle of Wight to an island off Antigua, The Hut is moving west. Hidden away on its very own private island and surrounded by stunning scenery, The Hut, Little Jumby will combine relaxed dining with The Hut’s trademark vibrant rhythm, to bring something truly exciting to the Caribbean.

Set to open in November 2024, The Hut, Little Jumby, will be the Caribbean’s most sought-after Private Island Beach Club and Restaurant. It will be located off Antigua’s north coast, between the mainland and its sister island, Jumby Bay Island, an Oetker Collection managed private island spanning 300 secluded acres and home to 4.5 miles of pristine shoreline.

Similar to the group’s celebrated Isle of Wight hotspot, The Hut, Little Jumby, will offer an unrivalled guest experience, an unparalleled setting and exceptional food, alongside a vibrant yet casual atmosphere. Following a short ferry or private boat ride, guests will be met by The Hut team on the private jetty in anticipation of a day spent on the stunning white sands of Little Jumby. Whether it be long, leisurely lunches aside the Caribbean Sea, chilled out dinners overlooking the incredible Antiguan sunset, or fully-charged weekend lunches, guests and residents alike can expect an unforgettable dining experience at The Hut, Little Jumby.

The restaurant offers a chilled out space for long lunches and magical dinners. With mesmerising views of turquoise waters and palm trees at every turn, simple, rustic wooden interior design to echo the relaxed island location, and colourful plates of fresh seafood, there is truly no better place to dine in the Caribbean.

Those seeking to chill out in their own private hang out will have the opportunity to rent their very own Cabana or Beach Hut, set across two of Little Jumby’s white sandy beaches. Perfect for couples, the South Beach plays host to The Cabanas, which will provide two sunbeds, shaded beneath a pergola-style roof and will offer striking views of the glistening coastline. On the North Beach, more substantial Beach Huts, available for groups between four and 10 guests, will provide a cool and intimate sanctuary and will feature a bar area, comfortable sofas, sunbeds and ceiling fans to cool off. Those renting a Cabana or Beach Hut will have the option to saunter up to the restaurant for long lunches throughout the day and relaxing dinners come evening, before retreating to their cool, private hideaways as they wish.

The menu at The Hut, Little Jumby will embrace The Hut’s proven menu concept of globally inspired dishes alongside the best of fresh Antiguan ingredients. Comprising locally caught, fresh fish and a variety of locally grown fruit, vegetables and herbs, guests can expect a seafood-led, brasserie style menu comprising The Hut’s mouthwatering, signature dishes, which have been carefully adapted to Caribbean produce. Dishes on the menu will include Barbudan Lobster, Snapper, Grouper, Fish Curry and Black Pineapple. As with The Hut, Colwell Bay, guests can pair their dishes with crisp, pale rosés to be sipped on against the backdrop of Jumby Bay island.

Alongside relaxed, all day dining at the Caribbean’s latest private beach club and restaurant, guests visiting The Hut, Little Jumby can enjoy a variety of entertainment, from live bands and DJs to various exciting in-house events.

Ensuring that Little Jumby is protected for future generations to enjoy is paramount to The Hut. Not only does Little Jumby play host to The Hut, the remainder of the island will be transformed into a nature reserve. The Hut will take its role as a guardian of Little Jumby Island seriously, ensuring the natural environment is maintained and nurtured into a thriving ecosystem. Additionally, The Hut will hire locally and provide a thorough training program, with 95% of the team already residing on the island.

The Hut is well-known for its celebrated Isle of Wight hotspot, Colwell Bay, which offers locally- sourced, fresh seafood, all of which can be enjoyed in a laid back, Mediterranean vibe with impressive views of the sparkling sea ahead. The Hut, Colwell Bay, is currently experiencing its strongest season yet with bookings up significantly this year compared to 2023, marking the opening of The Hut, Little Jumby as an exciting phase for The Hut brand.

The Hut is recognised for providing exceptional dining experiences to large groups of friends, milestone moments and couples in relaxed, yet up-beat and fun settings, alongside offering delicious menus that use locally sourced, fresh ingredients. Not only will the opening of The Hut, Little Jumby, take the brand’s excellent reputation to the next level, but will also provide both guests and locals alike an unrivalled dining experience in one of the Caribbean’s coolest island hotspots.
