The Caribbean’s Top 20 Most Charming Beach Towns

TravelMag.com surveyed more than 300 travel writers, social media influencers and in-the-know travel professionals on their favorite beach destinations in the Caribbean. Respondents were asked to identify their favorite three to 10 charming towns or villages in the region.

Those 20 beach towns with the highest number of votes were compiled in the list below, with only destinations with populations below 100,000 considered. Destinations on the Caribbean coasts of Mexico, Central America and South America were also excluded.

Among the destinations with the most votes were Governor’s Harbour, Bahamas; St. George’s, Grenada; Negril, Jamaica; and Cockburn Town, Turks & Caicos. Though each destination included is unique, many of the top contenders are known for their rich histories, strong cultures, cuisine, arts and music.

Several island countries in the Caribbean were lucky enough to land more than one destination on the Top 20 list. These include Trinidad & Tobago, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Barbados and Guadeloupe.
