The Madison Washington DC Prepares for Presidential Inauguration
"We may not know whether President Obama will return to office or if Mitt Romney will take his place, but either way, our phones have already started ringing and will no doubt be ringing off the hook the minute the networks call the results on Election Day", predicted Jim Horsman, Managing Director, The Madison. "We are still in the process of finalizing our policies on everything from length of stay to the appropriate rates for our most exclusive suite packages,” said Horsman. "Guests can rest assured their visit to The Madison for this historic occasion will be one to remember.” explained Horsman.

To get the political party started, the Lobby Bar at PostScript in The Madison will be offering two distinct cocktails now through the Inauguration and will be looking to fans of The Madison's Facebook page to get creative and come up with a third cocktail that will be made available during Inauguration. The winning cocktail will join Beverage Manager Rob Yealu's Massachusetts Mule (Raspberry- Chocolate Mint Infused Vodka, Lemon, Lime and Ginger-Ale) and The Great Debate (Small Batch Bourbon, Blended Vermouth, Green Chartreuse, Orange Peel), at the Lobby Bar from January 18 through the 22. Each hand-crafted cocktail will cost $14.00 and the winner of The Madison's Political Cocktail Party will receive a weekend stay at The Madison.

"We are ready to get the party started and could not think of a better way than to include all of our friends and fans on Facebook. This is a historic time for both the country and for The Madison, and we're looking forward to 2013,” said Horsman!
The Madison, whose opening in 1963 was attended by President John F. Kennedy, has long been the address of choice for diplomats, entertainers, world leaders and international delegations and recently completed a 22 million dollar redesign that included all guest rooms, public spaces and meeting rooms. The Madison will be the site of the most exclusive Washington, D.C. private party hosted every four years by prominent Washingtonians, Mr. and Mrs. William (Bill) and Buffy Cafritz, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon and Ann Jordan and Mr. and Mrs. Roger and Vicki Sant.
