The Maybourne Riviera Reopens for the 2025 Season with New Culinary, Wellbeing and Experience Additions

Built on a rocky peninsula high above the picturesque French town of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin with spectacular views over the Mediterranean Sea, The Maybourne Riviera - a strikingly modernist hotel – will reopen for the 2025 season on 17th June 2025. It will bring new gastronomic highlights including an outpost of internationally acclaimed Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s celebrated abc kitchens from New York, as well as the arrival of La Môme Riviera – already an iconic address in Cannes from the La Môme Groupe – at the hotel’s private beach club, Maybourne La Plage. In addition, The Maybourne Riviera introduces a collection of new hyperlocal guest experiences which celebrate the rich art and cultural heritage of this famed location.

Surrenne, a pioneering wellness and longevity club by Maybourne, will launch its second global location following the success of Surrenne Belgravia’s debut in London in 2024. With its scientifically backed approached to wellbeing, Surrenne Riviera goes far beyond a traditional hotel spa, offering personalised treatments, therapies and movement practices, longevity stays, retreats and a small number of seasonal membership places.

The inspiration and home to many renowned artists, artisans and architects, The Maybourne Riviera on the Cote d’Azur embraces this creative heritage, the best of the region and serene location throughout its new restaurants, wellbeing and experiences, ready to welcome guests for the 2025 summer season.

At The Maybourne Riviera, abc kitchens riviera is situated on the top floor of the hotel, with its dramatic panoramic views of the coastline that encompass Cap-Martin and Italy to the east and Monte Carlo to the west. A summer-only destination, abc kitchens riviera takes inspiration from Vongerichten’s celebrated trilogy of renowned New York restaurants – abc kitchen, abcV and abc cocina – all sitting under one roof on the Côte d’Azur. Its menu reflects Vongerichten’s passionate commitment to fresh, organic, sustainable, and ethically sourced local produce, showcasing the abundance of the sun-kissed French Riviera and his creative and forward-thinking, plant-focused dishes, tonics, and cocktails.

Adding to the culinary offering, highly respected restaurateurs Ugo and Antoine Lecorché will open the season’s new must-visit beach club, La Môme Riviera, just a 10-minute Moke drive from the hotel, channelling the celebrated convivial energy and timeless elegance of their sought-after restaurants. Renowned for its fun, stylish yet relaxed atmosphere, serving quintessential dishes hailing from Provence to Italy, La Môme Riviera will feature many La Môme Cannes signature classics and regional specials, along with curated DJ sets and live music from day to night.

The Maybourne Riviera is also proud to welcome new Executive Chef Sébastien Tantot, who will oversee the smooth-running across all dining areas of the hotel, including room service and events. Tantot will also be the creative force behind existing restaurants, the Riviera Restaurant and La Piscine, situated poolside, where an intimate cigar lounge with panoramic sea views is new for this year, and Le 300 Bar which will welcome renowned guest mixologists from The World’s Best 50 Bars.

Surrenne Riviera will bring a new pioneering approach to wellbeing to the South of France. A destination dedicated to wellbeing and longevity, Surrenne fuses advanced science, ancient traditions, personalised treatments & therapies, and expert-led movement and fitness practices. In this new clifftop location with sweeping views over Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Monaco and the coast beyond, Surrenne Riviera will provide a highly bespoke, holistic approach to emotional wellbeing and physical health.

Across its three floors, Surrenne Riviera offers signature treatments that merge cutting-edge technology with holistic therapies, tailored to address the unique needs of every guest. In addition to massages, Surrenne Riviera offers personalized facials (in partnership with Biologique Recherche), highly bespoke advanced skin treatments, recovery therapies including a unique lymphatic drainage treatment complemented by cold therapy, infrared therapy, osteopathy, and red-light therapy.

Four dedicated studio spaces focus on both physical and mental wellbeing at Surrenne Riviera: the Surrenne Gym, offering the latest Technogym equipment, a one-to-one training space, and two studios that are fully open to the terrace beyond - with no windows to obscure the view - providing group classes including yoga, spinning, TRX, and Pilates, designed in collaboration with Lagree Fitness.

As with its London counterpart, Surrenne Riviera also offers membership program, providing access to world-class facilities, personalized treatments, and exclusive member benefits.

The Maybourne Riviera is the jewel from which to explore the South of France and its rich artistic legacy, having inspired painters, poets and writers from WB Yeats and Coco Chanel to Dali Picasso and Jean Cocteau. Every stay is enriched with a selection of exclusive, complimentary experiences, designed to immerse guests in the essence of this creative slice of the Cote d’Azur.

Experiences include watercolour workshops led by a local artist; a food tour of Menton where guests can explore the specialties of this region that encompasses both French and Italian influences; local wine tasting with The Maybourne Riviera’s sommelier who will discuss the origins and stories behind the hotel’s collection; and hiking the Corbusier trail from Roquebrune-Cap-Martin to Monaco that takes in breathtaking sea views and iconic architecture along the way. There is also sunrise yoga and Pilates overlooking the spectacular ever-changing panorama of sea, sky and the Riviera coastline, where the sun shines 300 days of the year.

In the village itself, an unspoiled enclave of southern French charm, guests can explore Roquebrune’s 10th Century Medieval Castle, ancient Vallonnet caves, and even a 1000-year-old olive tree in the centre of the Old Town that still bears fruit.
