The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah presents contemporary, minimalist architecture courtesy of the Italian architect and designer, Piero Lissoni. The main hotel is composed of individual buildings connected by naturally lit walkways. Shallow pools extend across the inner courtyard, where the main restaurant and facilities are situated. An outer cladding of wood panels creates a play of light and shadow as day changes to night, while simple lines project out from the façade in one continuous move. The resort features wide open spaces and a natural white and beige colour palette that harmonises with the panoramic ocean vistas and long white sandy beaches that surround the resort. Guests can choose from mangrove, garden, or ocean views to soak up the resort’s spectacular 360 vistas. Every detail has been conceived for the guest’s utmost comfort and pleasure.
The resort’s 56 rooms and 33 suites and villas, including both two and three-bedroom private villas with 24-hour private butler service, are flooded with natural light and fantastic garden and sea views. Each of the rooms and suites offers private terraces, while the villas also feature temperature controlled, private pools. The interior design is sophisticated and elegant, conceived in white with touches of teal, chartreuse, blue, green, and red. Patterned wall tiles in the rooms and dining areas add a playful touch to the elegant design. To celebrate the resort's five-year anniversary, Aquario, the resort’s luxury beachfront seafood restaurant, has undergone an extensive refurbishment to enhance each guest’s dining experience. The newly designed entrance feels like entering a beautiful glass structure. Inside the restaurant, an intricate Islamic Mashrabiya ceiling and handwoven rugs lend warmth and texture. The new bar design is contemporary and sophisticated and provides guests with space to enjoy picturesque views of the beach in a comfortable and luxurious setting. Aquario has a relaxed feel during the day and comes alive at night with resident DJs and singers performing against a backdrop of seemingly floating solar lanterns and the Arabian Sea.
