The Peninsula Hotels Announce The Peninsula Yangon
To be built on the site of the former Burma Railway Building, it will be located in the heart of the central business district, near the famous Scott's Market.

The project is subject to binding agreements being signed and the fulfilment of a number of conditions and in this connection, the proposed hotel development may or may not proceed.

The proposed hotel will be at the heart of a mixed-use development. The former headquarters of the Burma Railway Building is an elegant colonial building and one of the most distinctive buildings in Yangon. If the proposed hotel development proceeds, the plan is to preserve and restore the existing structure and re-develop it into a Peninsula hotel.
