The Peninsula Hotels Launch New Wellness Program

The Peninsula Hotels Launch New Wellness Program
Peninsula Wellness recognizes that guests staying in luxurious hotel accommodations with the finest amenities increasingly seek to relax and rejuvenate mind and body and escape the stresses of modern living. As a symbol of the revitalized wellness philosophy, the Peninsula Wellness Center has been inaugurated as a global center of spa and wellness excellence at The Peninsula Bangkok.

Peninsula Wellness was first launched in 2006 to offer guests a uniquely personalized approach to wellness and healthy living. From 1 April 2015, the new Peninsula Wellness reinforces this commitment to meet the evolving lifestyles of guests at all Peninsula hotels. Combining the best of Western and Eastern health philosophies with the world's finest spa and beauty treatments delivered by expert therapists, Peninsula Wellness provides the ultimate retreat for mind, body and spirit. Highlights include the Peninsula Sleep Ceremony, exclusively created by ESPA for stressed travelers, a therapeutic Royal Thai massage in association with the world-famous Wat Pho Temple Massage School in Bangkok, and Sattva by Simply Peninsula vedic aromatherapy-inspired spa treatments formulated by Australian spa brand Subtle Energies exclusively for The Peninsula Hotels. Connecting lifestyle, nutrition and modern dining is a revitalization and refresh of the Naturally Peninsula menus for guests at all Peninsula hotels.

A Global Center of Wellness Excellence

To support the relaunch of Peninsula Wellness, The Peninsula Hotels has inaugurated its first dedicated Peninsula Wellness Centre at The Peninsula Spa in Bangkok. This global centre of excellence will coordinate all of the group's spa, wellness and lifestyle offerings, and will provide year-round training by accredited experts on industry-leading techniques and programmes to ensure that each Peninsula Spa offers exemplary standards of service complemented by the world's finest spa and beauty treatments and products.

Exclusive Sleep Ceremony for Stressed Travelers

The Peninsula Hotels is further developing its relationship with international spa consultancy ESPA, headed by renowned spa authority Susan Harmsworth. ESPA-branded products are the preferred choice of The Peninsula Spas, and a 120-minute Peninsula Sleep Ceremony is being introduced. Designed to aid relaxation for stressed travelers, this exclusive spa journey combines an indulgent sleep bath, guided meditation and breathing techniques to rebalance electromagnetic energies, a hot stone body massage to release toxins and a face massage to relieve tight jaw and forehead muscles.

An Ambassador of Beauty for Biologique Recherche

The Peninsula Spa in Bangkok has been dedicated as a Biologique Recherche "Ambassade de la Beauté", the first hotel spa in the world to receive this prestigious accolade. The award recognizes the strong relationship between The Peninsula Hotels and Biologique Recherche, which was founded by Dr Philippe Allouche in France 35 years ago, together with the excellence of practice by The Peninsula's team of therapists. The Peninsula Spas in Paris, Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai and New York now offer Biologique Recherche's award-winning natural facial and skincare treatments, which feature a high concentration of botanical, marine and biological extracts and are free from artificial fragrances and colorings.

A Signature Royal Thai Massage

Thailand is acclaimed as a haven of Oriental wellness excellence, and guests at The Peninsula Spa can revitalize body and mind with a new range of Thai massage treatments, including a therapeutic 80-minute Simply Peninsula Royal Thai body massage and a 110-minute Simply Peninsula Royal Thai Massage with Herbal Compress. A first for a hotel group, these treatments are introduced in partnership with the famous Wat Pho Temple Traditional Medical and Massage School in Bangkok, which is celebrated for its health-giving massage techniques based on traditional Thai medicine. The Peninsula Hotels and Wat Pho Temple Traditional Medical and Massage School have jointly created a Thai Massage teaching program that enables Peninsula therapists to be taught authentic and traditional Thai massage by the world's leading authority.
