The Plaza Hotel Offers Magic Tree House Program for Families
For the third year, this distinct literary partnership between the iconic New York City hotel and acclaimed publishing company will provide boys and girls with exclusive opportunities to explore the hotel's history and nearby attractions, as inspired by the Magic Tree House book series.

“We are pleased to continue to offer engaging and educational experiences for young guests of The Plaza Hotel,” said George Cozonis, Managing Director of The Plaza Hotel. “Our partnership with Random House and the Magic Tree House series brings ongoing excitement to the families who stay with us, and the program's seasonally rotating format promises new discoveries for children who return time and time again.”

The Magic Tree House Experience at The Plaza transforms quarterly with various New York City activities inspired by the beloved book series. Magic Tree House Fact Trackers, the non-fiction companions to the fiction Magic Tree House titles, contain activities correlating to The Plaza Hotel's surrounding landmarks. In addition, guests booking the Magic Tree House Experience package will receive a custom “Magic Tree House Plaza Passport” where they can collect stamps documenting their experiences at The Plaza Hotel, along with participation in a variety of New York City activities and Magic Tree House events. Guests participating will be whisked away on their New York adventure with characters Jack and Annie, when they find a magical tree house filled with books.

“New York City has a special place in my heart,” said Mary Pope Osborne, author of the Magic Tree House series. “I spent years in the city writing Magic Tree House books and doing research for the books at its wonderful museums, zoos, and libraries. I'm delighted that through The Plaza Hotel's program, children will have the opportunity to nurture their own curiosity alongside Jack and Annie in this magnificent city.”

From July 1 through September 30, 2014, the Magic Tree House Experience package will be centered around Mary Pope Osborne's book: Midnight on The Moon. To bring the story to life, The Plaza Hotel's adventurous family guests are encouraged to pack their “Magic Tree House Plaza Passport” and Space Fact Checker, and visit the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History. With programming changing seasonally, guests can look forward to two additional Magic Tree House Experiences themed around Thanksgiving and Christmas, from October through December.

The award-winning Magic Tree House series is an international phenomenon and has sold more than 100 million books worldwide and has been translated into 32 different languages in over 30 international markets making it a favorite among parents, teachers and librarians.
