The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Makes History with Three of Hospitality’s Highest Distinctions

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman announces its recognition with a MICHELIN Key in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide’s international hotel selection – making it the only property in the Caribbean and the Americas to hold the trifecta of Forbes Travel Guide Triple Five-Star, AAA Five Diamond, and MICHELIN Key honors.

MICHELIN Keys recognize the world’s most outstanding hotels, all vetted and judged across five key categories: architecture and interior design; quality and consistency of service; overall personality and character; value for the price; and a property’s contribution to an exceptional guest experience. Much like the MICHELIN Stars awarded to restaurants, MICHELIN Keys honor hotels that deliver truly remarkable stays, the culmination of countless hours of independent evaluation by the MICHELIN Guide’s expert inspectors.

The 2025 MICHELIN Guide hotel selection marks the first-ever list to include properties from the Caribbean, featuring 51 Key-worthy hotels across the region. Among them are just two One Key properties in the Cayman Islands, a distinction that firmly establishes The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman among the region’s most exceptional destinations.

This milestone further cements The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman’s reputation as a global benchmark for luxury, service and gastronomy. Not only is it the Caribbean’s first and only Forbes Travel Guide Triple Five-Star hotel, but it is also home to the region’s only AAA Five Diamond restaurant, Blue by Eric Ripert, now complemented by the prestigious MICHELIN Key.

Building on its legacy of excellence, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman continues to elevate every dimension of the guest experience through its commitment to holistic well-being with the upcoming debut of its newly reimagined Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Ritz-Carlton Spa in winter 2025. Guided by the resort’s on-property wellness expert, guests will embark on personalized wellness journeys that extend beyond the spa, integrating restorative sleep experiences, mindful movement, and health-forward culinary offerings designed to inspire balance long after departure. Designed as a serene sanctuary inspired by the natural beauty of the Cayman Islands, the spa will feature exclusive treatments from 111SKIN and ESPA, along with tranquil treatment rooms, including three private couples’ suites, four cold plunge pools, and a full-service salon. The wellness experience continues at the indoor-outdoor fitness center, featuring state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, a dedicated yoga and Pilates studio, and an outdoor training area surrounded by lush greenery that invites guests to move, restore, and connect with nature in an inspiring setting.

As MICHELIN continues to expand its global footprint, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman now stands as the region’s most decorated luxury resort and among the most celebrated in the world.
