Ambassadors of the Environment / Ritz Kids
Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment presents excursions for adults, families and children (four and older), led by expert naturalists and introducing resort guests to the natural wonders and rich cultural traditions of the Cayman Islands. During these fascinating eco-tours, Grand Cayman’s ecological resources become a natural classroom and living laboratory in which participants learn while having fun at the same time. New offerings include this year’s Reef Discovery Snorkel and “Glow in the Dark,” while existing favorites for younger children showcase the Secrets of Sand, Stingray Detective, Frogtastic Fun, Ambassadors in the Kitchen and Animal Chatter. Also on the menu for youth and adults: an Underwater Photography Snorkel, Mangrove Kayak Adventure, Night Snorkel, Fish Frenzy Snorkel and Seafloor Submarine exploration.
From swimming pools to the stunning white sand beach, and from snorkeling to diving in the Caribbean, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman offers countless ways to explore a shimmering water world. The resort’s summer watersports program offers all this and more, including relaxing beach, pool and dining experiences in luxurious private cabanas.
Summer indulgences at the resort’s la prairie spa include the tropically-inspired Island Dream Body Treatment, incorporating mango/papaya, coconut or chocolate/vanilla/coffee to exfoliate, soothe and stimulate the senses. For a special outdoor experience, al fresco Swedish and Deep Tissue massages may be reserved in the luxury of a private cabana.
A New Tasting Experience: Out of the Blue
For those coveting the world-class flavors of Blue by Eric Ripert, but in a casual setting, the new Out of the Blue dining experience presents tasting-menu sizes of the resort restaurant’s award-winning cuisine. The two-, three- or four-course tasting adventures are offered on a first-come/first-served basis and are available only in the Blue lounge or bar area. The restaurant’s chefs will decide each meal’s included courses “out of the blue,” based upon the day’s catch and fresh harvest.
