From the moment of arrival, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe provides a seamless experience for the perfect luxury ski vacation. Skis and additional gear are whisked away into ski valet for convenient future use, and guests can enjoy the ease of ski-in/ski-out access at Northstar California Resort, commonly known as the best ski resort for families in Lake Tahoe. In addition to deluxe guestrooms and suites, the resort’s two and three-bedroom Luxury Residences are available to book for the ultimate home-away-from-home winter getaway.
Resort amenities are now open, with social distancing protocol in effect, including the property’s dining establishments, luxury spa and state of the art fitness center open seven days a week. Advanced reservations are required for all amenities and are available at a first-come first-served basis.

RESORT & DINING EXPERIENCES
Northstar California Resort
Guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe have privileged access to Northstar California Resort for all their on-mountain plans with its ski-in/ski-out access and ski valet services. Hidden among the trees in the majestic Martis Valley, Northstar California is a pristine mountain escape for both the skilled and novice adventure seekers. In an effort to abide by social distancing and safety guidelines, Northstar California Resort has implemented a new reservation system to limit the amount of guests on mountain per day. Guests are recommended to reserve an Epic Day Pass in advance to access the mountain (with or without holiday restrictions).
Après-Ski Experience
Daily from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., guests are invited to the resort’s luxurious après-ski experience – wearing snow pants and all. Après-ski will feature Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial, Blanc and Rosé and a raw bar of chef favorites, including chilled shrimp cocktail, crab and caviar.
Dining
The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe offers exceptional dining experiences including the resort’s signature restaurant, Manzanita. Manzanita offers guests and visitors an upscale dining experience of California mountain cuisine. Champagne Brunch is offered on Sundays, serving a seasonally-focused menu featuring a chilled seafood display, carving station, gourmet salads, cheese and charcuterie, along with breakfast favorites and desserts. An unlimited Moët & Chandon and Bloody Mary Bar is included. Meals can be enjoyed on the restaurant’s expansive heated outdoor terrace daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Advanced reservations only.
The resort also offers more casual dining experiences, including Café Blue, a gourmet grab-and-go option, and The Backyard BBQ & Bar with American favorites with outdoor seating open daily. Guests can also take advantage of the gourmet in-room dining menu available daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
WINTER SPA TREATMENTS
The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Lake Tahoe is available to guests seven days a week for an array of treatments including massages, facials, body wraps, and more. This winter, the award-winning spa offers treatments designed to relax and ease discomforts often experienced during the season, including the Ponderosa Pine Winter Body Scrub, featuring pine bark to treat sore muscles and joint pain, and a creamy exfoliation polish to soothe the skin. The Alpine Glow Facial and Eye Treatment begins with the Alpine Glow Facial with a face massage of essential Jasmine oil designed to lift the senses to the highest state of relaxation.
