Thompson Seattle Set to Open June 1

A luxury hotel with a refined edge, Thompson Seattle will feature 158 guest rooms and 10 suites, a signature restaurant, a rooftop bar and lounge, and more than 5,000-square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

Conceived by the city's award-winning Olson Kundig Architects and built from the ground up, Thompson Seattle is a contemporary 12-story urban landmark. Studio Munge (formerly Munge Leung) in collaboration with Jensen Fey designed interior and rooms with the history of the aviation industry in mind, showcasing a mid-century inspired style with a carefully balanced edge rich in texture, materials and technology.

The 158 intimate, mid-century modern guest rooms, inclusive of 10 suites, were designed with the intention of making travelers feel like residents. The effortlessly luxurious yet witty design mirrors local culture, while floor-to-ceiling windows in most rooms provide spectacular views to help guests unwind and escape.

LOCATION

Locally-loved and nationally-acclaimed Huxley Wallace Collective restaurant group, helmed by chef and restaurateur Josh Henderson, will lead Thompson Seattle's food and beverage program. Day-to-night restaurant Scout, and panoramic rooftop bar and lounge The Nest, will celebrate the cuisine and culture of the Pacific Northwest. The hotel will also offer interactive in-room dining experiences, along with a food and beverage program tailored for groups and weddings. An in-room honor bar will feature bespoke treats and artisanal beverage offerings from Executive Chef Josh Henderson.

Thompson Seattle is the newest hotel near the city's legendary Pike Place Market. The ideal location on the corner of bustling 1st Avenue and Stewart Street offers visitors world-class shopping, entertainment and dining within walking distance of the city's financial center. Nearby Seattle experiences including the Seattle Art Museum, Benaroya Hall, the Olympic Sculpture Park and the Seattle Center which features the Space Needle, Aquarium and Pacific Science Center.

DINING

Thompson Seattle has partnered with Huxley Wallace Collective restaurant group to create and run the hotel's food and beverage concepts. Award-winning chef and restaurateur Josh Henderson, whose restaurant endeavors have been featured in The New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit and SAVEUR, will oversee the culinary direction of Thompson Seattle. Scout, the hotel's signature restaurant, and The Nest, the hotel's scenic rooftop bar and lounge, will be dynamic dining destinations for locals and guests alike.

Scout: Thompson Seattle's all day, 75-seat signature restaurant with sidewalk and courtyard access will offer dishes that highlight the bounty of Seattle's regional ingredients with items such as shellfish from the Puget Sound, wild mushrooms foraged from the Cascade Mountains, and grass-fed beef from the eastern farmlands. The restaurant will be anchored by an oversized Chefs Table that seats up to 18 guests to showcase hyper-local ingredients through edgy, highly-curated, multi-course tasting menus. Scout will also feature a modern, glass-encased dining room called The Cabin, which comfortably seats groups of up to 20.

The Nest: An expansive, indoor-outdoor rooftop bar and lounge scene offering sweeping views of the city, Puget Sound and Olympic Mountain Range, and an outdoor lounge with a unique area for private events operated by Chef Henderson and his team. The Nest will offer signature cocktails, sharable plates and, with Scout, will highlight the hotel's unique tableside service capabilities – from oyster and cocktail carts, to carving stations and carts with built-in burners for a more interactive guest experience.

Bar & Beverage Program: The sleek program at Thompson Seattle will offer neat pours and a variety of pre-batched and barrel-aged cocktails, along with a comprehensive ice program, in which each libation is served with a specific style of ice to enhance the tasting experience. Thompson Seattle will also serve local wine, beer and interactive cocktails, as well as a small variety of rare and antique bottles of hard-to-find liquor.
