Tell us a little about your experience so far on the campaign trail? How many places have you traveled to so far in 2024?
I’ve been to at least 13 states this year - mostly battlegrounds - and have spent a lot of time in Palm Beach, Florida following the Trump Campaign. The best part about getting out in the field is meeting voters and spending time listening to them. Americans are smart and frustrated. That one-on-one time gives you a far superior understanding of their issues than any poll could. And it’s nice to connect with the people who watch you. It means so much when people call out my name and say they’re watching my reports. It makes me want to work harder for them.
Do you have any smart packing tips for frequent travelers?
I try to only bring a carry on, even on international trips! I once lost a full bag enroute to Taiwan! Plus, if you want to switch flights last minute, you don’t have to worry about getting separated from your bag. With that said, I’ve learned to be very strategic with what I pack. I try to stick to layers and I fold everything military style.
What are some of your must-haves when traveling?
I always have a battery pack to charge my phones.
A small airplane blanket is a game changer for those long hauls when I want to catch some Zzz’s.
I have to pack a good heavy night cream, because I always get dehydrated when on the road.
Do you have a favorite place to go on vacation?
At this point, I just want to lay on a quiet beach and not think for a while! But I normally love traveling to historical sites and learning about the world. I would love to see the Pyramids in Egypt next!
What is the most fascinating country you have visited?
Turkey! I love the blend of Byzantine and Ottoman eras in the architecture and culture. One of my favorite memories is seeing a concert underground in the Basilica Cistern. Turkish food is also my favorite cuisine! I’ve been lucky enough to visit three times and I never get bored of it!
What is the best hotel you’ve ever stayed at? What did you love about it?
I recently stayed at Le Negresco in Nice, France and absolutely loved my stay! The hotel has a ton of interesting art and a gorgeous spa – which I took full advantage of! The rooms are spacious, and the staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met.
What’s next on your travel bucket list?
I am hoping to go on a safari in South Africa with friends next year! It was supposed to be my birthday trip, but this little thing called the Presidential election got in the way!
