TravelQuest International Leads Expeditions North and South Poles in 2014
In 2014, the Prescott, Ariz.-based tour company is offering adventurists a chance to earn their badge as they offer expeditions to both North and South Poles.

“Offering extraordinary experiences is at the core of our philosophy,” explained TravelQuest Founder and Society member, Aram Kaprielian. “What's more extraordinary than conquering both Poles in one's lifetime?”

TravelQuest will ring in the New Year with its fifth expedition to the South Pole. On this journey that most only dream of, members will enjoy six unforgettable days in the same pristine expanse of windswept snow and crystalline blue skies that have been touched by few since the original expeditions over a century ago. From Jan. 1-11, Antarctic Expedition to the South Pole highlights will also include four nights' accommodations in Chile's Patagonia region to visit a coastal colony of more than 10,000 Magellanic penguins, a memorable flight into the heart of Antarctica with transportation to basecamp at Union Glacier (79°S) provided by a Russian transport jet, and an overnight stay at the South Pole (90°S).

Six months later, TravelQuest will venture to the geographic opposite location on its North Pole Expedition Cruise, June 18-July 2. The 15-day voyage will take place in comfort aboard a Russian nuclear powered icebreaker, 50 Years of Victory. The specially outfitted ship will journey from Murmansk, Russia to the North Pole allowing travelers to literally stand on top of the world. Other exceptional experiences will include viewing arctic wildlife, including polar bear, plus a visit to the unique landscape of remote Franz Josef Land. The Arctic North Pole Expedition Cruise is priced from $21,246 per person, based on double occupancy.

The fortunate few who venture on both of TravelQuest's Arctic and Antarctic programs will be inducted into the company's Polar Attraction Society, a group that currently boasts seven members. Society members enjoy special commemorative keepsakes and an exclusive discount when booking their second polar adventure.

“These tours are undeniably special,” said Kaprielian. “We look forward to expertly guiding true adventurists through their wildest travel dreams in 2014 and beyond.”
