USA's Largest Polo Event To Welcome Westminster Winner, High-End Dog Fashion Show

The Westminster Dog Show is the pinnacle of all dog shows, but starting this October another may be the most flamboyant as dogs will have a chance to strut their inner fashionista in the middle of America's most attended polo event when the First Annual Canine Couture makes its dog debut at the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships.

Presented by the finest luxury pet resort in Arizona, Applewood Pet Resort, Canine Couture will be held on Saturday, October 25th at 2:45 p.m. and is a dog fashion show like no other!
Surrounded by beautiful white tents, and held under the backdrop of the McDowell Mountains on the Omni Scottsdale Polo Field at WestWorld, all breeds and sizes are allowed to enter. Canines, accompanied by their human companion will parade across the polo field, about 230 yards – in front of some 10,000 attendees.

The posh pooches will be judged on overall appearance and fashionable presence. Contestants are encouraged to be creative, avant-garde and of course, fabulous. Prizes include $1,000 First Prize, $500 Second Prize and $250 Third Prize. Additional trophies for the top five.

Judging Canine Couture will be a highly distinguished panel including Gabriel Rangel, professional dog handler and two-time Best In Show winner at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show – the 2014 winner, Sky, will be attending as well; Kelly E. Carter, pet travel expert and a New York Times bestselling author whose latest book, The Dog Lover's Guide to Travel, was just released by National Geographic Books; and celebrity realtor and dog lover Chad Rogers, formerly on Bravo's Million Dollar Listing.

Following the show, attendees can meet the judges and Canine Couture winner at the Applewood Pet Resort and HALO Animal Rescue tents on the Main Promenade. Exact times TBD, and maybe pictures with the Westminster winner himself.
