Vamizi Private Villa Collection Expands
Named “Papilio”, meaning swallow tailed butterfly, these beautiful large, colourful butterflies regularly fly close to the villa, and are just one of many of the tropical butterflies found on Vamizi Island.

Papilio, which will be available for rental from May 2015, joins five other luxury Private Villas already in Vamizi Island's Collection. The new villa is designed with unique features including a roof tower and stargazing deck and lounge. In total, six stunning Private Villas will be offered for 2015, and Vamizi Island, which has built a reputation as a paradise for couples, now grows to offer families more, as parents can return with their children to a place they fell in love with.

Each Private Villa, sleeping between 12 and 16, is uniquely designed in its own elegant style with en-suite bedrooms, spectacular drawing and dining rooms, and peaceful lounging spaces around private pools or the beach. The Private Villas come staffed with their own hospitality team including a private chef, butler and driver. Unique features include shaded decks, private pools, and each private villa is set in its own three to four acre plot with private beach access to over 100 meters of private beachfront.

The six airy pavilion-style private villas are designed by award-winning South African architects renowned for their commitment to creative design, sustainable development, and responsible tourism. Their unique style of architecture draws on the multi-cultural influences of Mozambique, and use locally sourced materials to ensure complete integration with the landscape.

All Private Villa guests have access to world-class diving, fishing and wellness treatments, as well as castaway picnics, romantic dinners and dhow cruises. The conservation team will be available for guided nature walks, talks and community visits. Sunset cocktail evenings on the beach at the Muntu Nkulu beach bar will offer guests the chance to meet to discuss the adventures of their day.

Private Villa Collection: Rate from US$ 39,795 (approx. £25,400) for 12 persons for a seven night stay including accommodation in an exclusive private villa, full board with private chef, housekeeping, car with driver and security, daily laundry service, and a selection of guided activities.
