Vivid Sydney returns May 23 - June 9

The 18-day event is the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and a major celebration of creativity and creative industries from Australia and around the world. Vivid has become Sydney's major winter event, underpinning the harbor-side city's position as the creative hub of the Asia Pacific region.

New attractions for 2014 include:

• Ferries lit up with LED lights computer-controlled by satellite in Sydney Harbour
• Martin Place will be a new precinct with giant light installations
• Aquatique at Darling Harbour will be twice the size as last year
• New Vivid programming at Carriageworks, Seymour Centre, Sydney University and The Basement

Additionally, Vivid Sydney features a mesmerizing free public exhibition of lighting sculptures and installations; a cutting edge contemporary music program from local and international musicians with Vivid MUSIC; public talks, debate and workshops from innovative global creatives and thought leaders with Vivid IDEAS; and the spectacular illumination of the Sydney Opera House sails.
