Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas is proud to announce the completion of its highly anticipated 23rd-floor transformation with the unveiling of the iconic Peacock Alley, a name synonymous with the Waldorf Astoria brand, as well as the debut of Hard Shake, an intimate bar and lounge offering inventive craft cocktails set against the sparkling backdrop of the Las Vegas Boulevard. The introduction of the hotel’s new 23rd floor marks the next step of an extensive multi-million dollar, property-wide renovation which has already included a floor-to-ceiling redesign of all guest rooms and suites, upgrades to all 15,000+ square feet of meeting and event space, and a new arrival experience with the complete redesign and relocation of the 23rd-floor lobby and front desk to the ground floor.

Designed by the award-winning global architecture and design firm Rockwell Group, the design of Peacock Alley and Hard Shake take inspiration from both the desert landscape and signature glamour found only in Las Vegas. Known for their innovative, hospitality-focused approach to creating spaces that foster connection and unforgettable experiences, both venues exude a timeless elegance while seamlessly blending opulent materials with refined sophistication.
PEACOCK ALLEY
The brand’s signature Peacock Alley bar transports guests to a stylish, airy atmosphere with sweeping views of the Las Vegas Strip. Upon entering from the elevator lobby, guests are greeted by the signature Clock at Peacock Alley, a statement timepiece that draws inspiration from desert sundials – suggesting that time is a relative concept when in Las Vegas. Inspired by the elegant peacock and its regal showmanship, a magnificent feather-shaped bar takes center stage and is crowned by a sculptural glass canopy that both sit atop a custom mosaic tile floor. Above Peacock Alley, a custom clear-glass light fixture dances across the ceiling, creating movement and rhythm while injecting the space with undeniable energy. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the lounge in natural light, while a color palette of muted blues and grays create a soothing ambiance that will transform from day to night, making it the perfect space for an impromptu rendezvous, social gathering or cocktail hour.
Serving a traditional afternoon tea during the day, guests can enjoy tiered trays of dainty sandwiches, freshly baked scones and decadent pastries made in-house, all alongside an extensive menu of the finest teas from around the world. Made exclusively for the property, guests can enjoy two exquisite tea blends that pay homage to the essence of Las Vegas itself – both the unmistakable energy of the city as well as the quiet beauty of its natural surroundings. The Showgirl is a performance in a cup – bold, beautiful and unforgettable. A vibrant passionfruit and vanilla black tea blend adorned with marigold, rose petals and jasmine flowers, The Showgirl playfully dances on the palate, leaving behind a lingering taste of decadence. In contrast, The Meadows offers a moment of calm – a nod to the quiet beauty that surrounds the city. A crisp and soothing blend of organic green tea infused with lemongrass, it’s a gentle reminder that even in a city known for its intensity, moments of peace are always within reach.
HARD SHAKE
Named after the stylized three-point shaking technique pioneered by legendary Japanese bartender Kazuo Uyeda, Hard Shake transforms cocktail-making into an art form rooted in precision, technique and imagination. Perched high above the pulsing heart of the Las Vegas Strip, Hard Shake reimagines the former SkyBar space into a sophisticated modern lounge. Anchored by a custom mosaic tile floor, deep indigo banquettes curve along the perimeter while Art Deco accents evoke a bygone era of Old Hollywood glitz and glamour. The marbled dark stone bar, punctuated by touches of sparkling champagne brass, catches the glittering Las Vegas skyline. Overhead, a gold-illuminated light fixture flows throughout the space, casting a warm, moody glow against a rich backdrop perfect for savoring expertly crafted cocktails.
With a menu inspired by the revered hard shake method, each cocktail is an exercise in craftmanship, where meticulous preparation meets an element of the unexpected. Blending time honored techniques and traditions with whimsical creativity and innovation, every sip tells a story. The Katana – meaning “sword” in Japanese – exemplifies this, blending the sharp edge of Hibiki Harmony Whiskey with the fiery depth of house-spiced Drambuie. Finished off with a subtle dash of pecan bitters, this layered cocktail is similar to a finely honed blade, striking a balance of power and finesse. Hard Shake will also offer a late-night menu of elevated bites including the signature Honey Shrimp dish served with honey citrus curry, candied walnuts, and beautifully garnished with chili thread and whimsical butterfly accents.
