Wellbeing Immersion in Tuscany at Forte San Giorgio

Wellbeing Immersion in Tuscany at Forte San Giorgio

From September 18-24, 2022, Forte San Giorgio, a luxuriously-restored 16th century fortress on the Tuscan island of Capraia which can be rented exclusively through luxury travel specialists The Thinking Traveller, will host a six-night full-immersion experience for wellbeing enthusiasts in partnership with revered wellness institution, Ricari Studios.

Ricari Studios’ modern health spa concept takes a refined approach to offering non-invasive, benevolent treatments utilizing medical grade technology to boost circulation, support lymphatic drainage, relax the nervous system, and stimulate collagen production. With its cult following and discreet celebrity devotees, Ricari has established itself as a best-kept secret for beauty and wellness aficionados in Los Angeles, New York, and most recently, London, having launched in 2021 at The Nomad Hotel.

During the retreat, guests will be able to take sanctuary in the relaxing surroundings of Forte San Giorgio, an awe-inspiring, luxurious residence, the like of which exists nowhere else in the world. The thoughtful program includes Ricari’s signature treatments, private and group fitness sessions with top trainers, hikes though the beautiful nature of Capraia, sea swimming, boat trips, sunrise meditation, massage treatments, plus exceptional Italian dining experiences, aperitivo time, and a wine tasting (life is all about balance, after all!).

Each guest will receive three Ricari treatments during the six day retreat. The Ricari Method blends manual and mechanical stimulation, naturally re-energizing and revitalizing tissue and skin cells to tone skin, sculpt silhouette, release dense muscles, enhance circulation and reactivate metabolism through gentle yet intensive conditioning.

Guests will stay at the 11-bedroomed Forte San Giorgio, which occupies a stunning panoramic position on the Tuscan island of Capraia, where commanding views take in vast swathes of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Italian mainland, and the islands of Elba and Monte Cristo. The villa’s accommodation is spread over a series of separate wings on multiple levels and the grounds feature two spectacular infinity pools, two panoramic al fresco dining terraces, a bar, cinema room, a shady open-air summer room, plus an impressive yoga studio.

Villa Floriani will provide the skincare and sensory experience for the retreat.  Their new Costa body care collection is inspired by the wild island itself and designed by the owners of Forte San Giorgio, second-generation plant-based and clean beauty formulators to world-leading spas.

‘Ricari is thrilled to be collaborating with such an esteemed institution as The Thinking Traveller. With this special partnership, we are expanding our offering to include curated destination experiences that unite the restorative power of travel with that of our treatments’, says Anna Zahn, Founder of Ricari Studios.

The six-night course is bookable exclusively through The Thinking Traveller and costs from $7,200 per person (based on two sharing) including all meals, accommodation and transfers. (www.thethinkingtraveller.com/ricari; 020 7377 8518)
