The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, is nearing completion of a $100 million transformation, unveiling refreshed accommodations, updated dining spaces, expanded wellness amenities and enhanced outdoor spaces, with reservations now available for stays beginning December 8.

New Attractions and Museum Exhibits
There’s never been a more exciting time to explore Miami, where fresh attractions and must-see exhibitions bring revived energy to every corner of the destination. Miami Art Week returns as a global art epicenter, anchored by Art Basel Miami Beach, with high-profile events across the destination and the inaugural Art Basel Awards on December 4. The Bass Museum presents Jack Pierson: The Miami Years, debuting this fall and running into 2026, exploring the artist’s formative connection to Miami. Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science unveiled the blockbuster exhibition Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius on October 4, featuring immersive galleries and hands-on interactives that celebrate the Renaissance polymath. In late October, The ReefLine unveils Phase 1 of its groundbreaking underwater sculpture park off Miami Beach with Concrete Coral, a monumental installation by renowned Argentine conceptual artist Leandro Erlich. The installation features a life-size “traffic jam” of concrete cars functioning as marine habitats, symbolizing the reversal of human impact on nature. Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) debuts Woody De Othello: coming forth by day on November 13, a major presentation from the Oakland-based artist, on view through summer 2026.

New in Food and Drink
Recognized as one of America’s leading culinary capitals, Miami continues to elevate its dining scene with an impressive lineup of new restaurants that blend global influence with local flavor. Opening in October, Eight Bar, part of Maple Hospitality Group, will serve as a more casual counterpart to the main Maple & Ash dining room, offering a relaxed setting for lunch, dinner and cocktails. Gale Miami Hotel & Residences debuts Yamashiro, an iconic Los Angeles import reimagined for Miami. Expect Japanese flavors infused with California flair, breathtaking skyline views and a high-energy dining experience. Palmetto Bay welcomes its first upscale restaurant, Old Cutler Inn, which aims to become a true neighborhood gathering place along Old Cutler Road. Beloved for its cinnamon rolls and matcha (served from a pop-up trailer at the University of Miami during the week and Dragonfly Thrift Boutique on weekends), Honey Veil is opening its first brick-and-mortar café this fall. The Coral Gables location will showcase the bakery’s signature creations in a permanent home, while the original trailer continues to visit new neighborhoods. Adding to the city’s culinary momentum, Coconut Grove will welcome three new concepts from Mae’s Group and Ariete Hospitality Group this fall — Chuggie’s, a nostalgic burger joint from Chef Michael Beltran; Mae’s Room, an intimate cocktail parlor inspired by timeless gatherings; and Drinking Pig BBQ, Chef Raheem Sealey’s soulful first brick-and-mortar smokehouse blending Caribbean flavors with classic barbecue traditions.

New in Cruising
As the Cruise Capital of the World, PortMiami continues to make waves with exciting developments that enhance the guest experience and welcome the world’s most innovative ships. Virgin Voyages’ newest ship, Brilliant Lady, made its highly anticipated arrival in Miami on October 17, marking the start of its Caribbean season with Grammy-nominated artist and culinary creator Kelis. In November, Oceania Cruises’ Allura will be christened by a group of Food & Wine “Best New Chefs” alumni before launching a series of culinary-focused Caribbean voyages.

New in Air Travel
Miami continues to strengthen its global connectivity, with expanded airlift and new direct routes making it easier than ever for travelers from around the world to experience the Magic City. Semiprivate carrier JSX introduced nonstop flights from New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport (TEB)—the nation’s busiest private-jet airport—to Miami–Opa-locka Executive (OPF) in early October.
