On behalf of each Qatar Airways ticket booked, Wilderness Safaris will plant 40 indigenous saplings at its luxurious Bisate Lodge in north-western Rwanda, enough to restore 100m2 of former agricultural land in Volcanoes National Park’s critical buffer zone. By sourcing trees from the Bisate nursery and hiring local residents to plant them during the correct planting season, Wilderness Safaris continues to positively impact the lives of its neighbors. To date, the partnership has generated bookings that have resulted to over 1000 trees that will be planted during the next planting season.
