Wildflower Farms, Auberge Resorts Collection in Hudson Valley Opening October 1

Wildflower Farms, Auberge Resorts Collection, a new, highly anticipated 140-acre retreat located in Hudson Valley, is now accepting reservations beginning October 1, 2022. Located just 90 minutes from New York City and set amongst the storied region’s natural beauty, the resort will be a verdant escape focused on nature and wellness in all senses. Anchored by a namesake farm, the resort will offer guests source-origin cuisine at the destination restaurant, interactive experiences at a dynamic cooking school, a seasonal spa menu of locally-crafted wellbeing experiences, enriching outdoor adventures and bespoke standalone accommodations immersed in the landscape’s ever-changing colors. Upon opening, Wildflower Farms, Auberge Resorts Collection will provide a meaningful encounter with nature through a back-to-the-land philosophy and unscripted luxury.

Ensconced by views of the Shawangunk Ridge and the sound of a flowing river along the forest’s edge, light-filled public spaces and 65 free-standing, built-in-nature accommodations will reimagine the New York style of living as envisioned by West Coast architects Electric Bowery and New York-based design studio Ward and Gray. Upon arrival to the resort, guests will be welcomed into the Great Porch, a completely open-air lobby that feels more like the living room of a home with large format botanical art and framed antique textiles on display. Cabins, cottages and suites will be wrapped in natural materials, like wood-clad ceilings and re-worked canvas on the walls, in a layered and collected context that is inspired by the Hudson Valley’s tradition as a studded antiquing destination. Cozy window seats and views from bed allow the surrounding meadows of native flowers and wild woodlands to serve as inimitable artwork framed by wall-to-wall glass sliding doors that lead to private terraces.

A place to explore and expand the mind and spirit, the guest journey will be rooted in a strong connection to the farmland on which the resort sits. The centerpiece restaurant, Clay plates a love letter to the Hudson Valley’s seasons and stories, maximizing the region’s bounty and the wild comfort of the country. The kitchen is fueled by the seasonal local terroir—unique vegetable varietals, heritage fruits, proteins and aromatic herbs from the onsite and neighboring farms—prepared through a progressive global lens. Orchards, heirloom gardens, farm animals, forested footpaths and fields of wildflowers will play host to hands-on experiences, such as foraging, organic vegetable farming, botanical mixology sessions and picnics around the property. A cornerstone of the property journey will be Maplehouse, a dynamic farm education center that will feature weekly hands-on classes and a cooking school with intimate events hosted by best-in-class chefs. While championing sustainability and re-wilding of the land, the culinary and farm teams will be stewards of a more mindful, regenerative way of living, encouraging a future of enacting positive environmental change.

Thistle, An Auberge Spa, a 9,000-square-foot sanctuary featuring five single and one couples’ treatment rooms, draws on the cycles of nature for inspired seasonal treatment menus that nurture through simplicity. Thistle’s outdoor hot tubs, indoor saltwater pool and modern apothecary will serve as areas for relaxation before or after natural body therapies. The expansive grounds will also be home to The Pavillion, an immersive 3000-square-foot fitness studio constructed from all wood joinery, a three-mile walking trail connecting all elements of the property, and an outdoor pool, Dew Bar. Situated where the Hudson River Valley meets the foothills of the Catskill mountain range, Wildflower Farms, Auberge Resorts Collection will also offer nearby access to the outstanding beauty of Mohonk Preserve, a private reserve known for hiking, biking and world-class rock climbing, as well as the area’s innumerable orchards and farms, distilleries, art galleries, antique markets and state parks.

Over 15,000 square feet of event space will make Wildflower Farms, Auberge Resorts Collection a discerning choice for weddings, events and celebrations. It will also serve as an ideal and visionary setting for executive meetings, events or retreats.

Nightly rates in the autumn start at $1,000 plus taxes and fees. To make a reservation or for additional information, please visit aubergeresorts.com/wildflower-farms.
