World-renowned Post Ranch Inn Creates Detour to Paradise Rewards
In response to the announced temporary road closure on Highway 1 north of Big Sur, Calif., the world-renowned Post Ranch Inn has created “Detour to Paradise” rewards for guests staying at the luxury resort from now until April 30, the anticipated date of the road re-opening.

“Since the time we opened Post Ranch Inn, our focus has always been on the guest experience at the resort," said Dan Priano, general manager of Post Ranch. "But, with the temporary closure of Highway 1 north of Big Sur, we decided that we wanted to do even more for our guests, which resulted in the creation of these additional amenities. It is our way of thanking people who have current reservations or plan to make them, and to compensate for the extra drive time. Although the road to Big Sur is still open from the south, we decided that all guests staying at Post Ranch should get the benefit of these amenities while the road to the north is being repaired.”

The rewards will include two complimentary 60-minute massages to help guests relax after the drive, a bottle of champagne in their room and Post Ranch will top off the guests' gas tank with a gasoline gift card. These additional amenities are valid through April 30, the anticipated date when the road to the north will open.

These additional gifts are on top of the existing amenities that guests of Post Ranch receive, including wine upon arrival, a gourmet breakfast, mini bar, stargazing with an astronomer, and daily yoga – all included in the rate.

In addition, guests will be provided with “points of interest” information on the trip from the south on Highway 1 to Big Sur, including highlights like Hearst Castle and the many wonderful wineries along Route 46.
