Día de Muertos
In Mexican lore, Mictlán is the final resting place for those who have left the physical world. Each year, on the Day of the Dead, its doors open for souls to return to the world of the living, where their families greet them with gifts, including bread, flowers, and traditional Mexican cuisine. This November 2, guests of Zadún are invited to join a mythical, immersive journey to Mictlán to find out more about this longstanding tradition. The festivities will begin at El Barrio and culminate with a lively, and unforgettable celebration full of colors, flavors and aromas. Visitors will enjoy a four-course, family-style menu, specially crafted drinks, live music, and the traditional offering of magnificently crafted alters in remembrance of the departed. The celebration is priced at $95 USD ++ for adults and $40 ++ USD for children.
Thanksgiving
Offering a menu that blends American traditions with influence of Humo’s signature Latin American grilling techniques, Zadún promises a Thanksgiving feast for the ages. The celebration will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and will be priced at $85 USD ++ per adult, $45 USD ++ per child over the age of four and will be complimentary for the resort’s youngest guests. The festive atmosphere will be complete with live music.
Complementing the celebrations will be a Gratitude Weekend within Spa Alkemia. A true oasis of revitalization, the 30,000 square foot spa will offer a tailored itinerary of programming, including yoga and meditation, as well as special experiences designed to encourage relaxation and inspiration. The spa will also offer a Pumpkin Spice Body Wrap, a holistic, aromatic treatment that invigorates all of the senses, beginning with a vanilla scrub and followed by a pumpkin body wrap designed to restore the skin, renew the body, and balance the spirit.
Through the resort’s Ambassadors of the Environment, guests will also be able to learn more about the origins of Thanksgiving, the history of the turkey dinner, as well as enjoy playful games created with the entire family in mind.
