Zurich's Baur au Lac Wins Multiple GaultMillau Awards
Additionally, the hotel's General Manager, Michel Rey, whose family has been at the Baur au Lac for over 60 years, was named "Hotelier of the Year 2012" and the hotel's Pavillon restaurant was awarded 17 points out of a total of 20.

"We are absolutely honored to be recognized with such high praise," says Andrea Kracht, owner of the Baur au Lac. "We always strive to offer the best in service and hospitality, and these awards are a solid testament to our hard work and dedication."

GaultMillau is one of the world's most influential restaurant and hotel guides. It was founded in 1965 by two restaurant critics, Henri Gault and Christian Millau, and is most famous for its restaurant rating system, based on a scale of 1 to 20. Points are awarded strictly based on the quality of the food, and restaurants below 10 points are almost never listed.
