Located at Northwest point on the island of Providenciales or 'Provo' as it is locally referred to, Amanyara (peaceful place) is nestled on the tip of a 5,000-acre nature and wildlife reserve, with the widely-acclaimed reefs of the Northwest Point Marine Park just offshore.
The resort's isolated position is pristine and its beauty and tranquility is well removed from much of the development of the island. Transfer to the resort is along a narrow coastal road that rises to a hill and then falls away into a flat plain covered with native bush and stunted trees. Aesthetically, the resort sits in harmony with its environment. The buildings have low rooflines that converge with the landscape, embracing a series of ponds and an oceanfront setting that includes low rocky headlands and a sweeping white sand beach. Entry to the resort is through a large reception pavilion that opens onto a grand formal reflecting pond that is landscaped with mature trees. This water feature is framed on one side by the Library and Boutique, and opposite, by the Dining Room and terrace which enjoys sweeping views of the beach. The circular Lounge offers a dramatic soaring roof and sea views, all fronted by the 50m swimming pool and sun deck. The setting has many moods. It is spacious and dramatic yet intimate and contains cosy areas to retreat. Amanyara is always open to the elements – the sun and reflections from the pond, the breeze, the sounds and sights of the ocean. Villas are comprised of 3-bedroom pavilions located overlooking one of the resort's ponds. The bedroom pavilions are centered around a swimming pool that measures 55 ft. x 16 ft. and adjacent are two pavilions dedicated for lounging and dining. Each Villa is staffed with housekeepers and a golf cart is provided for transportation within the resort. Beach Pavilions are Oceanfront, enjoying a premium location with access to small coves and beaches located amidst the rocky headland. Ocean Pavilions are Oceanfront and elevated 15-20 feet above the waterline. Pond Pavilions are sited in the natural vegetation and front the edge of either freeform or formal ponds, with one timber sundeck on the very edge of the water. Easy walking access is possible to all the facilities of the resort.
