Aurelio is an utterly exclusive mountain hideaway in the village of Lech am Arlberg in Austria.

The privately owned hotel is made up of three alpine-style buildings including the Aurelio Clubhouse, a brilliant eight-bedroom chalet with its own spa, cinema room and living areas. Perfectly situated, right on the famous “Schlegelkopf-Piste”, Aurelio is luxurious but relaxed; contemporary, but firmly embedded in its Austrian roots.


In total there are 18 guestrooms and suites. The interiors are decorated with traditional touches that reflect the alpine heritage of the Vorarlberg region and modern art work by British photographer, Tim Hall. Hall was commissioned to capture the Alps and transpose the power and scale of the mountains on to photographic paper. But it is the feeling of warmth that permeates throughout Aurelio, which creates its charming, relaxed atmosphere and makes guests want to return year after year. The SPA at Aurelio is elegant and cocooning. It is a place to disappear to after skiing and restore any stressed, alpine muscles. Sauna cabins, aroma salt steam rooms, herbal baths, sensory showers, a snow atrium, mani-pedi room, three treatment rooms and a 23-metre indoor swimming pool – the largest swimming pool in Lech. It has everything one could want and more… Dr. Barbara Sturm is an internationally renowned specialist. Popular with those in the know, her innovative approach to anti-ageing focuses on the use of the body's own proteins to preventing the signs of ageing. Her hero product, MC1, is an anti-ageing wonder cream that contains one's own blood. The food at Aurelio is also exceptional. 3 Hauben Chef, Christian Rescher and his protégée, Markus Niederwanger offer a foodie experience that is available to both Aurelio guests and those visiting Lech. Intelligent, thoughtful and highly talented, Christian's Natural Art Cuisine is a combination of brilliant Austrian produce and international influences. He has taken food at Aurelio to another level, making it more refined, appealing and exciting which takes guests on a truly special culinary journey. More relaxed dining and drinks can also be enjoyed on the Sun Terrace or in the Licca Lounge, which is home to a roaring fire and collection of whiskies and brandies. Connected to the hotel by a dazzling blue and white underground corridor, and with its own private entrance, is the Aurelio Clubhouse. This eight-bedroom chalet is traditional in style and full of old-school luxury. The Clubhouse lends itself to families, groups of friends or colleagues looking for an exclusive private residence with the services and comforts of a world class hotel. Sleeping up to 16 guests there is a huge living room with an open fire place, magnificent chandelier and grand piano, large dining room, butler's office and a library or snug. Guests booking the Clubhouse in its entirely have access to the private spa with its own 18-metre swimming pool, sauna, steam-room, Jacuzzi, two treatment rooms and a relaxation area. A private butler is also on hand to take care of any personal needs or requests.
