Surrounded by glacial mountains and lush rain forest, Clayoquot Wilderness Resort is located in British Columbia's fragile Clayoquot Sound Biosphere reserve, right at the mouth of the Bedwell River, approximately 40 minutes outside of Tofino, BC.
This season, the resort will open with a new restaurant, The Bedwell Bistro, nestled on the shore of Bedwell Sound featuring inspired cuisine from executive chef, Justin Witcher, breathtaking panoramic views and an ecologically driven architecture and decor that reflects the resort's rustic glamour. It offers three, four and seven night packages, starting at $4,750 CAD per couple per night in shoulder season and $4,988 CAD per couple per night in peak season. Guests experience safari-style tent accommodation (most with ensuite washrooms) gourmet cuisine and The Healing Ground spa. Activities include hiking, horseback riding, ocean and fresh water fishing, whale and bear watching, a Wild Side First Nations Interpretive Trail, a natural rock climbing wall, archery, shooting, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing and heli adventures. The resort's popular Cloud Camp accommodation experience perched on the edge of a pristine lake at 4500 feet on Ursus Mountain is the most accessible high-altitude adventure in the world and comes complete with a private chef and mountain guide for an unforgettable overnight excursion. Access to Clayoquot Wilderness Resort is via floatplane from Vancouver's International Airport or water taxi from Tofino.
