Hotel Copernicus - Krakow, Poland - 5 Star Boutique Luxury Hotel

Rooms & Suites: 29

Hotel Copernicus is probably the most impressive hotel in Krakow.

Located in a Renaissance building on beautifully restored Kanonicza Street, the oldest in the ancient town of Krakow, the Copernicus takes its name from the Polish astronomer who studied there. It offers a splendid change of scene and is imbued with history and elegance: the vaulted cellars with the sauna and swimming pool, the terrace with its panoramic view of Wawel Castle. Period frescos decorate the spacious rooms. In the course of the recently completed conservation works, unique polychromes on the walls were revealed, dating from about 1500, and wooden ceilings covered with painted decoration, dating from the 14th century. Beautiful frescoes and wooden beams can be admired in the rooms and suites. In the Copernicus Hotel there is an amazing patio redolent of Italian Rennaissance, a daring swimming pool concealed in the basement and, last but not least, an inspiring café on the roof. The house used to be visited by Copernicus himself and it was selected also for the last visit of George W. Bush in Poland.
