But, for those of you who'd prefer to stay a little closer to ground level, the hotel can organize boat trips on any of the stunning Swiss lakes or even excursions to our nearby towns and cities. Obviously, skiing and snowboarding are Adelboden’s biggest draws during the winter months, and downhill devotees of all abilities flock here for the worldclass facilities at Silleren, Adelboden-Lenk, Elsigen-Metsch, Tschentenalp, Engstligenalp and Betelberg. All the local sports stores offer equipment for hire, and guides are available from the Adelboden Snowsport School. But if you do fancy a day or two away from the pistes, the Adelboden-Frutigen region also offers more than 15km of maintained sledging routes – so why not borrow one of The Cambrian's toboggans and hurtle, Santa Claus-like, through the freshly fallen snow instead?
