Turtle Island Fiji, Luxury Resort

Map

Turtle Island is a cultural haven for the Fijian way of life, rooted in ancient values of respect, community, and joy.

Featuring 14 beachfront bures (Fijian villas) crafted from island hardwoods, 12 private beaches (couples are invited to visit a different beach every day), and 500 acres of authentic Fijian experience ranging from island conservation, culture, community, and connection to the local land / sea to overall relaxation, Turtle Island transports guests to an array of vacations that are well suited to couples and families.

Highlights:

  • Sustainability & Community Initiatives (well beyond plastic use consumption, which yes, they do!) – A pioneer in eco-tourism and at its core, Turtle Island has become a leader in sustainable travel – not to mention, within the local Fijian islands. From implementing solar panels and using fallen island materials to create furnishings to providing up to 35 scholarships and organizing annual dental / eye clinics, Turtle Island has implemented many programs that give back (including, but not limited to):
  • Reintroduced 250 native species of flora and fauna, including planting over 500,000 trees on the island to maintain lush rain forests and stabilize hillsides
  • Employed ~100 Fijian full-time staff, many of whom are from the Yasawa Islands, and created a Joinery and Trade Workshop for local villagers to become craftsman
  • Established a turtle conservation program in partnership with the WWF to help save the lives of sea turtles within the region
  • From Land & Sea Island Cuisine – From providing 80% of the fresh produce for guest and staff cuisine via a 5-acre garden, alongside locally caught seafood, guests can dine on one-of-a-kind creations, adapted for any special dietary requirements — yellow fin tuna, crab, and Pacific green lobster, tender Australian beef, and sweet native fruits and island-grown vegetables from Fiji Island’s garden.
  • Family Time – Given Turtle Island guests arrive as couples, who are most often repeat guests, they have the desire to return with their families to share the magic – hence, “Family Time”. During the months of mid-June to end of July and mid-December to mid-January, families are invited to bring kids, parents, and grandparents – which is especially nice given so many are figuring out pandemic reunions. Children under five receive a nanny and children six and above will have their own Bula Buddy.
